2006 and 2007
Silvicultural treatment commenced soon after USM was declared for SFM in March 2006. Approximately 3,978 ha involving 18 compartments have been silviculturally treated from 2006 to 2007.

2008
8,226ha (19 compartments) had been silviculturally-treated surpassing the target for the year 2008 of 4,043 ha (10 compartments). The achievement was ahead of schedule as shown in table below.
