To ensure the smooth running of all forest management activities, Deramakot Forest Reserve (DFR) is equipped with the following infrastructure:

    • 2-way radio communication using repeater (1)
    • Telephone, Mobile Phone and Internet Connection
    • Two 85 kilowatt diesel powered generators
    • Water filtration system for consumption
    • First Aid room
    • Living quarters cum laboratory (1)
    • Camping ground
    • Visitor's Reception Centre
    • Chalet (4)
  • Outposts
    • Main Gate
    • Balat
    • White House
  • 70 km of all weather road

  • Permanent bridges

  • Guard posts (to ensure security of DFR from illegal logging and poachers)
