INFRASTRUCTURE
When the TBSFM project was launched in mid-2006, the project committee mainly focused on management, restoration and protection of Timimbang FR and Botitian FR. The demarcation of boundary and survey in Botitian FR was completed in 2007 with a total cost of RM75,520.00 while Timimbang FR (part A and part B) was completed in 2010 with the total cost of RM273,000.00.
Some basic infrastructure like project office and staff quarters were also addressed in the TBSFM project. The construction of one (1) unit of staff quarters cum monitoring station and providing one unit of generator house at Botitian FR were completed in 2007 with a total cost of RM137,000.00. Concurrently, the repair work was also carried out on the Ex-JKR quarters and was installed with 50 KVA generator at Timimbang Base Camp was completed in 2007 with a total cost of RM 147,000.00. It was later been observed that the maintenance cost of the physical infrastructures such as the office building and staff quarters is quite high as both of the buildings are old and heavily infested by termites. Therefore, in order to improve better living environment for the project staff in TBSFM, the management team had given the green light to TBSFM to construct 6 units of terrace houses with the total cost of RM 896,900.00 and this was completed on 20th August 2013.
